This journal article examines the impact of task specificity and task type on the relationship between cultural diversity and team performance over two studies. Results show that high task specificity has a positive effect on the performance of execute tasks by culturally homogeneous teams, while low task specificity has a positive effect on the performance of creative tasks.

This study expands upon the four primary factors of cultural intelligence (CQ)- metacognitive, cognitive, motivational and behavioural- to propose the sub-dimensions for each factor.
